After 37 action-packed years in Executive Search, I have come to the conclusion that the time is right for me to retire. Since its inception in 1999, Brooker Consulting now has real critical mass and I step down in the sure knowledge that the needs of our clients can continue to be fulfilled at the highest levels of customer satisfaction, with Brooker as a key member of the Lawson HR Group, along with Johnson Recruitment.

With more than 300 successful CEO placements and the appointment of 70 Non-Executive Directors, I have a great many people to thank, including the boards, selection panels, referees, referral partners and candidates who have played key roles in all of our Director, CEO and other C-suite projects. I am also eternally grateful to the peak bodies, member associations, advocacy groups and professional service providers who have enabled Brooker to carve out a reputation for consistent service delivery.

As of March 8th , I will spend more time with my beloved wife Margot and our greyhound Fifi, seeing more of my kids Ollie and Charlie, as well as other family and friends. After a break, I will pursue a couple of personal projects and interests, as well as indulging in some local and overseas travel.

Having named Brooker after my maternal grandmother, I am deeply invested in the brand and will continue to support the company, from a distance. This will involve occasional participation in activities surrounding the Brooker Prize and Mentorship Program, as well as an appearance at the celebration planned for Brooker Consulting’s 25th birthday later this year.

Brooker’s invitation to join the Lawson HR Group in 2018 has led to a mutually beneficial relationship and Lesley, Prue, Rachel and Leighton are ready, willing and more than able to continue to build the brand as it evolves and develops. Together, we have had very many laughs over the years, and I cherish the close friendships which have emerged from the 880 projects Brooker has undertaken.

I wish all of you success and fulfillment in the future, and reiterate my profound thanks for your support over the years.

With best personal regards

Jeremy
