Dr Rachel Cameron is a dynamic, strategic and entrepreneurial executive leader with over 20 years’ experience in healthcare. Her qualifications include PhD Medicine from Sydney University and Stanford University, USA.

Throughout her career, she has consistently demonstrated excellence in innovation and achievement in complex project leadership roles across a broad range of sectors including corporate, hospital, emergency management response, public health, government, not-for-profit, university, pharmacy distribution, R&D technology and consultancy.

Her employers include but are not limited to large ASX and NASDAQ listed entities, private companies, government departments, healthcare agencies servicing the aged care and disability sectors as well as remote Indigenous communities nationwide. Rachel has also founded a health-tech start-up in the chronic disease space and run her own successful generalist healthcare consulting business, highlighting her agility.

Rachel possesses superior stakeholder engagement skills and her business acumen is evidenced in the success she has enjoyed across the board. Her portfolio career has included a range of project leadership roles within complex health systems, managing sensitive data, risk, and people during times of pressure. Cybersecurity threats and data integrity in the healthcare arena is a special interest area, and Rachel has had experience managing sensitive health data during the recent vaccine roll-out during the pandemic.

Rachel has produced over 20 publications and has contributed IP to patents of new medicines, demonstrating her exceptional medical and technical writing capability. Rachel is also involved with Homeward Bound, a transformational leadership initiative for women with a background in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, medicine) from around the world. The current cohort consists of 103 women who have been selected based on their outstanding potential to lead and create better outcomes for the planet. Rachel is generous with her time supporting the community through service in a volunteer capacity. In her spare time, Rachel is a competitive ocean sailor.

Over the past two decades, Brooker Consulting has partnered with a broad range of innovative companies who are striving to create and commercialise novel products in the health technologies sector in Australia and overseas.
